1. General Rules
• We have the right to remove, at any time and without notice, any content from the Servers we deem offensive, inappropriate or incorrect.
• The use of inappropriate language, including language that may look, sound like, stand for, hint at, abbreviate, or insinuate profanity, hate speech (including but not limited to racial, ethnic, or religious slurs), illegal drugs/controlled substances or illegal activities is strictly prohibitive at youroutdoorsonline.com.
• You must be at least 14 years old to register for the Service. We do not knowingly collect any information from any users under 14 years of age, and if it is found that an underage user has fraudulently registered, their account will immediately be terminated.
• Cheating on this site is expressly prohibited, this includes (but is not limited to) exploiting any deficiency in youroutdoorsonline.com’s code or design, or in the code or design of any third party product or service used in connection with the Service, to gain unearned or unauthorized privileges, access or abilities not clearly intended for the use of registered users. Communicating information about such activities to others will also be considered “cheating” and is subject to an automatic banning from the site.
• We reserve the right to contact your ISP regarding any inappropriate activities by you on the Service. Trust me, we have done it in the past.
• Your subscription to the Service is intended for your individual and personal use only. Do not share your service with other, such sharing is prohibited.
• We reserve the right to immediately terminate any user which fails to follow these Additional Terms of Use. The decision to suspend or terminate accounts will be made at the sole discretion of the site administrators. All account terminations (bannings) are final and not subject to review.
• We are not responsible for any user posted content.
• At youroutdoorsonline.com, it is POP, not soda. However, we will not discriminate against anyone who uses soda.
2. Protection of Your Password; Unauthorized Access
Your password is your own. We strongly suggest that you keep it safe and that you not reuse the same password on other sties. It is suggested that all users use a hard to guess password to decrease the likely hood of someone hacking their account.
3. Registration Requirements
To post content to certain areas of the site it is required that your register with youroutdoorsonline.com using a valid E-mail account. Each E-mail account can be used only once for registration.
4. Community Rules
The following conduct is not allowed on our message boards, user profiles, feedback forms, or any other service of the site. :
• Offensive Material - Users may not use or encourage others to use material or link to material which considered to offensive in nature. This includes, but is not limited to using vulgar, profane, or sexually explicit language. Using race, religion, sexual orientation, culture, ethnicity, disability, nationality, or gender as a means of insult is strictly prohibited and will not in anyway be tolerated, AT ALL; using threatening, harassing, defamatory, hate-speech, or libelous language; and posting, requesting, linking to, or otherwise sharing material considered pornographic, obscene, graphic, or hate speech. Failing to abide by a warning that material or terms are offensive or prohibited is a violation. Any violation is subject to a warning, a banning, or in the case of threatening or harassing behavior, contact of user’s ISP as well as law enforcement authorities. Use of a user’s sexual orientation, race, religion, creed as an insult will not be tolerated. User of learning disabilities as an insult (such as calling someone “retarded”) will also not be tolerated.
Also, the use of combinations of letters and characters to represent profanity or any other word or slur that is deemed offensive is prohibited. They will be treated as though the user has used the word they are using it to represent.
Foreign languages are prohibited. We at youroutdoorsonline.com do not discriminate against those who speak a foreign language, but it just so happens we don’t. So in order to administer the site we ask that all users use the English language. Any non English posts will be removed.
Posting material designed to illicit an angry or unfavorable response, also known as “flaming” or “trolling” is also prohibited. Please keep in mind that this is an outdoors site that encompasses all aspects of the outdoors. We realize that not all agree on activities in the outdoors, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However, disparaging comments about other’s opinions, or posting in a way designed to angery portions of the online community will never be tolerated.
Some additional notes on the Illegal Activity rule:
o Discussion of illegal drug use or abuse is not permitted.
o Discussion of gambling is not permitted.
o Discussion of any illegal activity is prohibited.
• Off-Topic Postings – Don’t post topics where they don’t belong. It’s stupid and annoying for the site administers who have to move it or delete it. Please don’t be a jerk.
• Disruptive Behavior - Behavior that disrupts the Service for other users, intentional or not, are prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: messages or topic titles that force browsers to scroll horizontally; large blank or content-free messages, including quoting another user without adding any additional content and posts that consist only of one or more smiley faces; “rick rolls” (posting misleading or disruptive links); "bumping" older topics (posting in them well after the last post); posting identical or near-identical messages or topics; intentionally hard-to-read topic titles or posts (i.e. ALL CAPS, AlTeRnAtE cApS, no spaces, no or excessive punctuation, they’re not just stupid, they’re annoying); posting hard-to-read or nonsensical messages in a single or multiple topics; posting large ASCII art (pictures made from characters); or post counting (i.e. "First", "100th Post").
Some additional notes on the Disruptive rule:
Extra-harsh penalties will be applied for posting any link that overtakes a person’s browser or computer when clicked on. We hate that.
• Impersonation – Impersonating any person in the community, or any non community member for the purpose of deceiving, mocking or any other form of ridicule will not be tolerated.
• Harassment/Stalking/Privacy - Continual harassing behavior directed towards a certain individual or group with the intent of creating an intimidating, offensive, or hostile environment on the Service, with or without use of explicit or implicit threats, is strictly prohibited. Not to mention it’s kinda not legal. Trust me, we will not tolerate any stalking what so ever. Anyone caught doing so will be turned over immediate to the authorities. Do not give your personal information out to the public, if you do youroutdoorsonline.com, it’s owners, moderators and administrations cannot and will not be held accountable.
5. Multiple Accounts
We would rather you not have multiple accounts, but, the are acceptable. However, using such accounts to break any of the community rules will be subject to removal of both usernames. Yes we do track IPs, and yes, we do know when two user accounts are from the same computer.
6. Violations and Penalties
Topics and messages that violate these Additional Terms of Use will be deleted from the boards and additional penalties may be applied at our moderators' discretion. Re-posting deleted violations (yours or those of others) is also considered a violation.
Messages and topics may be removed at any time and for any reason at the sole discretion of our editors and designated moderators. User accounts may be warned, suspended, or revoked at any time and for any reason at the sole discretion of our editors and our designated moderators. All determinations of what is "acceptable" and "unacceptable" content will be determined solely by our editors and moderators.
We reserve the right to contact your ISP in the case of any chronic infractions of our terms of service.
7. No Warranty; Limitation of Liability
This site, and all code associated with it, is not under warranty. This site is to serve as a guide only, any incorrect information attained from this site is not the fault of the Website, its owners, or its administrators. By signing up, you agree that any information you choose to apply in the wilderness is of your own doing and any liabilities that my ensue from your actions are yours and yours alone. YOUROUTDOORSONLINE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACTIONS OF ITS USERS. When pursuing hunting, fishing, or any other outdoor activities, first checks the local, state, and national laws concerning that activity. It is the user’s responsibility to determine the validity of any information on the site. We do not warrant that our service will ever be uninterrupted, error free, or virus free. Content posted by our Users is NOT our responsibility. No written, verbal, or electronic form of communication will ever create a warranty, except in any jurisdiction that does not allow such exclusions.
