Hey guys, I was thinking about getting a sentlok vertigo suit. I was looking at it and it seems like a good concept, the white in it that is, but I was wondering if anyone else had any experience with sentlok. I've never used it but they were sued a while back (I posted something on that.) and I was wondering if the whole sent blocking thing really works?

Scent-Lok Clothing

Jance, I look at it this way- The more confident you are while hunting, the more you are going to enjoy it, & I think, the more successful you will be. Scent-Lok (mostly) & other brands, give me more confidence with the hope that it does work. As others have posted about the lawsuit- it probably isn't 100%. Think about it- even it it does the job, the minute you take it out of the dryer, it begins it's job, so you are immediately using up the "carbon storage space", so to speak! My methods include storing as much of my clothes, boots, & gear, in plastic bags, ziplocks, & containers. I'm constantly airing everything out after use, & washing whenever I sweat or use it a couple of times. I store all in areas where it will be exposed to least amount of any scent. I shower scent free before each hunt if I can, or at least wipe down as much as possible with some sort of scent removal product. Last, I do use several scent-killer sprays & cover scents. My theory is to use scent-less scent killers with only a little cover scent. I think, no matter what you use, it's synthetic, not natural, so you risk it being identified by your game, to some extent. And, of course, I use different scent-lures, when seasonally applicable, & where it is legal to use. Hunt the wind religiously! If a deer (for instance) picks up a little bit of your scent, & it's not strong, it will feel that you are a lot further away, & not be as alert & tuned in to you than if it smells you "strong", & knows you are close- high alert/game over! I can't dedicate enough time to be just a trophy hunter, but by using these methods- me & my 2 sons hold our own in filling the freezer!

That is a good point. It all

That is a good point. It all comes down to how good you feel about your situation. The better you feel the longer you'll stay in there or do what you need to do to get that tag.
