Drunken Moose Freed from Tree

Per Johansson was going to his home in Saro, Sweeden when he says he heard screaming.

"It was raining really bad. In the wind I heard something... with a very dark voice. At first I thought it was the crazy neighbors."

It wasn't the neighbors. Upon further inspection, Per realized that there was a large moose stuck in his neighbors apple tree. The inebriated cervid must have gotten drunk from eating fermented apples lying around the tree, and in an attempt to get more apples, tried to climb the tree, only to get tangled up and stuck in it's branches.

The authorities were called, and using saws and a jeep wench, the rescuers were able to remove limbs on the tree and bend the tree down far enough that them moose could then free itself. Once free from the tree, the moose simply collapsed on the ground and fell asleep. It awoke the next morning to what can only be imagined as the mother of all hang overs, eventually leaving by the time Per Johansson left for work. The moose had "very shaky legs."

"The moose came back and walked around the yard," he added. "i think he likes it here."
